Ferries

Steamship Authority departing from Woods Hole, MA is the only ferry service that transports motor vehicles to the island. As the Official Ferry Service of the 2011 and the 2012 Vineyard Warrior Triathlon, The Steamship Authority is making a special offer to all registrants:

         $20 gift card

To be given out at the Pre Race Expo Registration Area

Can be used on return trip for fare, parking, or concessions.

 

Other ferry companies depart from New Bedford, Providence or Manhattan.

Race Day Ferry: There are 40 spots for those who absolutely need to come over race morning. This is a 4:30 am ferry leaving from Falmouth. Return trip at approximately 4:00pm. Packet pickup and bike drop off still must be done on Saturday (NO EXCEPTIONS). To reserve a spot on this ferry one must be registered for the race, then email director@vineyardwarrior.com to reserve spot on boat. This ferry will be cancelled if less than half full. $20 round trip fee will apply and will be payable upon boarding ferry.

Bike Transport & Security

Most lodgings are not able to keep valuable bikes safe and secure, some hotels simply do not have the space to allow bikes in the rooms. Therefore, we highly encourage you to use our Bicycle Security Plan.
